events.uy is a free, informational calendar of sports events in Uruguay: running, trail, cycling, triathlon, duathlon and skating races, and group rides. It brings together in one place what organizers publish on their own sites and social media.
events.uy does not organize any of the events, does not sell tickets or entries, does not charge or receive payments, and does not act as an intermediary between participants and organizers. It does not represent any organizer and has no commercial agreements with them.
An event goes into the calendar only when a source we can see backs it: the organizer's page or account, the registration platform, a federation or a public body. When a date is not confirmed yet, the event says so.
Even so, the information may contain mistakes or change after it is published: dates, times, places, distances, prices and conditions are set by the organizer and may change without notice. Before you register or pay, check the details on the organizer's site.
Each event is the sole responsibility of its organizer: holding it, safety, insurance, permits, registration, payments and refunds, prizes, and whatever happens during the event.
Links on events.uy lead to third-party sites (organizers, registration platforms, social media). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, for payments made on them, or for anything you agree with the organizer. An event appearing in the calendar is neither a recommendation nor a guarantee that it will take place.
events.uy is not liable for any damage or loss resulting from using the information on the site, from taking part in an event, or from dealing with an organizer.
Anyone can propose an event through the calendar's public repository. We review every proposal before publishing it and may reject, correct or remove it at any time, without giving reasons. Whoever proposes an event declares that the information is true and that they may share it.
If an event has wrong details, has been cancelled, or looks like a scam to you, write to [email protected] or on Telegram. We will look into it and, where appropriate, correct or remove it. If you were defrauded, also report it to the police or to the Consumer Protection Unit.
The site has no user accounts and no tracking tools of its own. The "Added to calendar" marks stay in your browser only. The calendar data is open, under the CC BY 4.0 licence.
We may change these terms; the date above says when they last changed. They are governed by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
