Vuelta Oriental 1500

Marco da Fronteira, Chuy

A 1,500 km loop of Uruguay in randonneur format. It has a 125-hour limit; the rules of Randonneurs Uruguay define its brevets as non-competitive rides. It starts on 5 February at 7:00 in Chuy, and the cut-off at the finish is 10 February at 12:00. Run by Randonneurs Uruguay. The route passes Rocha, Minas, Colonia del Sacramento, Mercedes, Trinidad and Florida. A jersey and a drop-bag service are included. The organizer's calendar also lists a 1,000 km BRM.

An off-road run and mountain bike duathlon, the first stage of the 7th Campeonato Duatlón Rústico, in Kiyú, San José, on Saturday 13 February 2027. The 2027 season poster announces solo and pairs categories on new courses; distances, start time and prices are not published yet. Stage 7 of Rocha Corre, a running championship run by the Rocha city government and its Sports Directorate, with seven stages across the department between August 2026 and February 2027. The 5K is participatory and the 10K competitive, with official chip timing and a finisher medal. You can run a single stage or the whole championship.

Three-day mountain bike stage race (3 Days Marathon) among the hills and olive groves of Lavalleja, based at the Sabiá olive estate on Route 12 near Minas. Friday 19, a 10 km prologue with 400 m of climbing; Saturday 20, 50 km and 1,000 m; Sunday 21, 54 km and 1,300 m. On Sunday there is also a One Day Bike Race of 54 or 42 km. Minimum age 18. Registration is through RedTickets, where Punto de Control is listed as the producer.

The only Uruguayan date of the 2026/2027 Circuito Binacional de Triatlón Jeep, on Saturday 20 February 2027 in Salto. It is a sprint of 750 m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run. The circuit is organized by the Asociación Concordiense de Pruebas Combinadas (ACPC), from Concordia, and its other five dates are in Entre Ríos, Argentina. Exact venue, times and registration not announced yet.

Abba Ama – Refugio de Vida Salvaje, Las Cañas, Maldonado

First edition of a trail race at Abba Ama, a wildlife refuge in the Las Cañas area of Maldonado, on Sunday 21 February 2027, on a new course of hills and trails. There is a competitive 14K and a participatory 8K. According to the organizer's post of 8 October, pre-registration opens the following week; the encarrera.uy page already shows the date and prices from $1,600 to $2,000 depending on distance and period. Four-day stage race for elite men based in Mercedes, Soriano, organized by the Federación Ciclista de Soriano; this is the 36th edition. The Uruguayan Cycling Federation described the 2026 edition as the warm-up for the Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay. For the public it is one to go and watch.

Non-profit ultra trail in Santa Clara de Olimar, Treinta y Tres, on 27 and 28 February 2027; organized by the Municipio de Santa Clara. The 115 km is run in two stages, Saturday and Sunday, with a night in Arévalo (Cerro Largo). The 54, 36 and 10 km are on Sunday, starting at 4:00, 5:00 and 8:30. The terrain mixes asphalt, dirt, grass, mud, streams and woodland. Places are limited; you buy the entry on RedTickets and then fill in the form on the site. The schedule may change.

Twelfth edition of this mountain bike race for pairs in Kiyú, San José, starting at 9:00 from Club Estrella del Sur. The 38 km course is for women's, men's, mixed and parent-child pairs; the category is set by the combined age of the pair. There is a 12 km course for children under 12 riding with a responsible adult. Race kits are handed out on race day from 7:00 and everyone gets a finisher medal. Registration is through Crono MTB.

Fourth edition of a gravel race with 120 km and 60 km courses through vineyards, farmland and coastal roads. A gravel bike is recommended, and mountain bikes with tyres of at least 35 mm are also allowed; e-bikes are not permitted. The start is at 7:30.
