200, 300 and 400 km brevets by Randonneurs Uruguay in Montevideo, on Saturday 6 March. These are non-competitive long-distance rides, eligible for homologation by the Audax Club Parisien. So far the organizer's calendar only gives the date and the distances; the start point, the times and the opening of registration are still to come.
Two-day road race in Canelones, on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 March, organized by the Federación Canaria de Ciclismo; it is a round of the Campeonato Uruguayo of the Uruguayan Cycling Federation. It admits men's elite and under-23, the men's Master A to E and women's elite, under-23 and junior, with a federation licence. The organizer says the finish is in Canelones and the route is being defined; the stages, distances and registration are not published yet.
Half-distance triathlon of the IRONMAN 70.3 series, with a 1.9 km swim in Maldonado Bay, a 90 km two-lap bike course out to Punta Ballena and a 21.1 km run towards the peninsula. According to the provisional schedule, the start is on Sunday 7 March at 7:00 at OVO Beach, and mandatory athlete check-in is on 5 and 6 March at the Enjoy hotel. You can race solo or in relay teams of two or three. Registration is open. It awards slots for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
Tenth edition of eSport's mountain bike stage race in the hills of Minas, Lavalleja, based at Parque de Minas – Hotel Vacacional. The Marathon (Scott 3 Días) totals 186 km over three stages, from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 March, decided on cumulative time. The same weekend has a 110 km Gravel race on Saturday 13 and the 60 km Short and 33 km Short Mini on Sunday 14. Registration for the Marathon is open and requires a valid medical certificate; Short and Gravel registration has not opened yet.
First edition of this three-day road race in La Paloma, Rocha, from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 March, organized by Club Deportivo y Social La Aguada; it is on the regional calendar of the Uruguayan Cycling Federation. The federation's page lists the women's elite, under-23 and junior categories and also the men's Master A to E and Promocional, all with a federation licence. The stages, distances and registration are not published yet.
Race of the GFNY series with a 146 km long course (1,700 m of climbing) and an 86 km medium course (715 m). Only long-course finishers are ranked; the medium course is timed without a ranking. The route has serious climbs on Routes 60 and 12, and passes Punta Ballena about 10 km from the finish.
A 42.195 km marathon in Colonia del Sacramento, on Sunday 14 March 2027, starting and finishing at the Frontón of Real de San Carlos. There are also 15K and 8K races. Organized by Solo Carreras. Start times will be announced 30 days ahead; kits are collected on Saturday 13 and are not handed out on race day. The minimum age is 18 for the 42K and 15K and 14 for the 8K, and a medical certificate must be sent in. Registration is on the timing platform; the organizer has not published prices yet.
The country's main stage race, organized by the Uruguayan Cycling Federation; this is the 82nd edition. The 2027 route has not been announced yet. In 2026 it had 11 stages and more than 1,700 km, starting and finishing in Montevideo. Men's elite and under-23 teams race; for the public it is one to go and watch.
An off-road run and mountain bike duathlon, the second stage of the 7th Campeonato Duatlón Rústico, in Libertad, San José, on Saturday 20 March 2027. The 2027 season poster announces solo and pairs categories on new courses; distances, start time and prices are not published yet. Last date on the calendar of the 2026-2027 Campeonato Nacional de Triatlón of the Unión de Triatlón del Uruguay, on Sunday 21 March on the Fray Bentos riverfront, Río Negro. According to the union's calendar it has Sprint, Promocional and Olympic formats. Non-federated athletes may race on a one-day permit, but only federated ones score ranking points. The page gives a time window of 10:00 to 20:00; for start times and distances the union refers to its social media.
Championship of the Agrupación de Atletas del Uruguay for its members, with 10 and 5 km stages on Sunday mornings or Saturday afternoons. The 2026 rules provide for 19 stages; the first was on Sunday 1 March in Villa Española, according to the sports calendar of the Montevideo city government. The 2027 calendar has not been published yet.
Road race along the Colonia del Sacramento waterfront, starting on Av. Mianovich in front of the Plaza de Toros. The 2027 edition has not been announced yet; the 2026 one was run on 14 March, with a participatory 5K and a 10K that was the fifth round of the CAU championship.
