First edition of this GFNY series race, starting and finishing in Pueblo Garzón. A competitive 130 km long course (954 m of climbing) with 34 km along the ocean on Route 10, and a recreational 77 km medium course (622 m).
Classic summer race organized by the Intendencia de Maldonado together with Suca Sports, with a participatory 5K and a competitive 10K, in the evening, finishing in front of the Intendencia. The Suca Sports calendar sets it for Thursday 7 January 2027, the same day of the month as in 2026. The Intendencia has not announced it yet and the race site is in maintenance mode. There is also a free children's race, the San Fernandito.
Brevets by Randonneurs Uruguay in Punta del Este, on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January. The organizer's calendar lists three BRM routes, two of 200 km and one of 300 km. These are non-competitive long-distance rides, eligible for homologation by the Audax Club Parisien. So far only the dates and the distances are published; the start point, the times, which route runs on which day and the opening of registration are still to come.
Two-day road race in Treinta y Tres, organized by Club Ciclista y Social Barrio Artigas, on the calendar of the Uruguayan Cycling Federation. The men's and women's elite, under-23 and junior categories race. The 2027 programme is not published yet; in 2026 it had a circuit stage and a 170 km road stage. For the public it is one to go and watch.
First edition of the road gran fondo run by Gran Fondo Argentina in Punta del Este, on Sunday 10 January. It starts at 7:00 and finishes at the MACA museum, on Route 104 in Manantiales. There are 115 km (age 17 and over) and 62 km (16 and over), with chip timing, aid stations and checkpoints with cut-off times. The course uses Routes 104, 9 and 10; the long one crosses the Laguna Garzón bridge and passes José Ignacio. Rider check-in is on Friday 8 and Saturday 9, 9:00 to 19:00, at MACA.
National road cycling championships of the Uruguayan Cycling Federation, three days in Maldonado. The men's and women's elite, under-23 and junior categories compete. The federation gives only «Maldonado» as the host, without saying whether it means the city or the department; the programme and courses are not published yet. In 2026, in Rocha, the first day was for individual time trials and the other two for road races. For the public it is one to go and watch.
Stage 5 of Combo Colonia 2026/2027, a five-stage running championship through towns of the Colonia department, with 5K and 10K, age categories and a differently-abled category. Earlier stages were in Nueva Helvecia, Miguelete and Juan Lacaze. When the page was checked, registration was shown as closed.
Stage 6 of Rocha Corre, a running championship run by the Rocha city government and its Sports Directorate, with seven stages across the department between August 2026 and February 2027. The 5K is participatory and the 10K competitive, with official chip timing and a finisher medal. You can run a single stage or the whole championship.
Third edition of this triathlon by La Sierra Eventos at the Boca del Cufré beach resort, San José, on Sunday 17 January, starting at 7:00. It offers Sprint and Olympic distances, on laps of 750 m swimming, 20 km cycling and 2.5 km running. It is capped at 200 participants and registration closes on 20 December, or earlier if places run out. Age categories in 10-year bands, with chip timing and a finisher medal.
One-day road race in Dolores, Soriano, on Saturday 23 January, organized by Centro Ciclista Velox de Dolores and Dolores Cycles Club; it is on the regional calendar of the Uruguayan Cycling Federation. The 2027 edition admits men's and women's elite and the men's Master A to E, with a federation licence. The course, distances and registration are not published yet.
Long-distance mountain bike race in San Carlos, Maldonado, organized by Ciclistas Carolinos. The Uruguayan Cycling Federation lists it on its regional calendar for Sunday 24 January, with categories from cadet to masters and promotional. The 2027 distances, start venue and registration are not published yet. The 2026 edition, on 25 January, had 101, 77 and 47 km courses and a 111 km gravel race.
Trail race starting and finishing in Valizas, Rocha, over sand, dunes and coastal paths. There are 50k, 21k and 10k courses, and in 2026 the 50k could also be run in pairs. The organizers announce the 24 January 2027 edition on their Instagram.
One-day road race in Mercedes, Soriano, organized by Club Ciclista Atenas; it is a round of the Campeonato Uruguayo of the Uruguayan Cycling Federation. The men's and women's elite, under-23 and junior categories race. The 2026 edition was the 89th. The route, distances and start time are not published yet. For the public it is one to go and watch.
Three-day stage race in San Carlos, Maldonado, organized by Ciclistas Carolinos; this is the 8th edition and it is on the calendar of the Uruguayan Cycling Federation. The men's elite, under-23 and junior categories race. The 2027 stages are not published yet; in 2026 there was a 10 km individual time trial and two road stages of 147 and 148 km. For the public it is one to go and watch.
7 km race at the Lago Merín resort, Cerro Largo, on Saturday 30 January 2027 at 20:00, starting on Calle 1 in front of the Shop del Lago. It is organized by Cronometra Mauá with the Laguna Merín and Río Branco municipalities and the Cerro Largo departmental government. It costs $780 with the full kit (shirt, bag, visor and medal) or $500 without, paid through an Abitab collective account; categories from age 11. Registration is on the Cronometra Mauá website.
A date of the 2026-2027 Campeonato Nacional de Triatlón of the Unión de Triatlón del Uruguay, on Sunday 31 January at the Prefectura in Atlántida, on the seafront, in Canelones. According to the union's calendar it has Sprint, Promocional and Olympic formats. Non-federated athletes may race on a one-day permit, but only federated ones score ranking points. The page gives no start times or distances, and the union refers to its social media.
Summer race by Suca Sports over 5 miles (8 km). The Suca Sports calendar places it in January 2027 in Punta del Este, with no confirmed day; it previously showed Sunday 3 January. Registration is not open yet and the race site still shows the 2026 edition, which was run on 1 February from stop 36½ of Playa Brava, at the river mouth in La Barra, half on asphalt and half on the beach, for runners aged 15 and over. The start time and course for 2027 are not published.
Sunrise race in Piriápolis, organized by RS Eventos Deportivos. The 2027 edition has not been announced yet; the 2026 one had a Vertical on 31 January at 18:30 at Ecoparque Tupambaé and 8K and 15K races on 1 February at 5:30 starting at Plaza Armenia.
Departmental running championship that visits several towns of Soriano, with 5K and 10K races and category points at each round. In 2026 it had eight rounds, according to Crono MTB, the company that times it and handles registration. The first was on Saturday 24 January at the La Concordia resort and the last on 26 September at the Palmar dam. The 2027 calendar is not published; the starting month and place are an estimate based on 2026.
Trail race by Suca Sports in Punta Ballena, with 18K and 10K. The Suca Sports calendar places it in January 2027, with no day; it previously showed 17 January. Registration is not open yet and the race site still shows the last edition (18 January 2026), which started at Solanas beach and went past the Punta Ballena lookout and Las Grutas; the 18K also went into the Arboretum Lussich, with 403 m of total climbing. The start time and course for 2027 are not published.
